While the Vbeam is considered the gold standard in treating visible veins and vascular lesions, it is not the first choice for treating chest wrinkles. This concern is best addressed with a skin tightening treatment like Ultherapy. The device delivers ultrasound energy into the dermal layers, constricting tissue and boosting collagen production for smoother skin. Make sure you work with a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in nonsurgical skin tightening to ensure an optimal outcome.
In our office, we have several treatments that can help improve common vascular skin issues, including rosacea, post-inflammatory erythema, red scars, facial blushing, and spider veins. The Vbeam laser continues to be the gold standard for redness, including rosacea and post-inflammatory erythema. In some cases, we add Venus Viva RF coagulation to help improve redness on the skin from spider veins, inflammation, and rosacea. Generally, several sessions are required to improve redness on the skin. Vbeam laser, IPL Limelight, and Venus Viva all work very well with minimal downtime. Patients with rosacea may benefit from topical creams to help soothe inflamed skin. We recommend Elevase Moisture Booster. For Post-inflammatory erythema, Plato’s Scar Serum is recommended twice daily. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
If you want to improve chest wrinkes you need to use lasers like fraxel or erbium, microneedling/PRP, and sculptra. For redness v beam can be combined but alone will not help the wrinlkes and neither will IPL. Best, Dr. Emer.
VBeam laser can stimulate a small amount of collagen, but we wouldn't recommend it solely for chest wrinkles. I would recommend Ulthera for the chest to address wrinkles. It works very well, and has no downtime. Resurfacing, such as Fraxel Dual, or MicroPen Collagen Induction Therapy (micro needling) can also help, but both come with downtime and may not produce the result that Ulthera will.
V-Beam not only treats the redness but also helps with the wrinkles as well. There are other lasers such as Fraxel, Clear and Brilliant, and Microneedling such as Aquagold with Botox infused that help as well. Please consult an expert in V-Beam and these cosmetic procedures. Best, Dr. Green
