How to get rid of heterogeneous mass after a tummy tuck?

Question

Hi, it's being 3 months post tummy tuck I started having a small lump on the right side of my stomach by the belly button as time went by it got bigger so my PCP sent me to get a CT Scan and it shows that I have intramuscular heterogeneous mass. What exactly causes for this to happen is it normal after a tummy tuck, and what are the steps I need to take to get rid of it?

Muscle masses can take on different forms. The diagnosis of the muscular mass is varied and could include traumatic lesions, abscesses, and tumors.  The tumors are usually benign. It is likely that nothing further needs to be done.  Continue to follow up with your PCP if the mass bothers you cosmetically or otherwise.

Really difficult to say what it is without getting an actual tissue sample, like a biopsy.  It may be a hematoma that occured during the plication of your muscles.  Over time this may resolve, but I would ask the radiologist if it looks like blood/hematoma or an actual mass.Hope that helps.

Your general surgeon or an Oncosurgeon must be the ones who tell you what is the next step regarding a muscular mass. That mass most likely was not created by the Tummy Tuck, tightening the tissues made it only obvious  Be encouraged Dr  Cardenas

Very hard to make anything of that. One may have nothing to do with the other. The mass may have developed in coincidence with surgery. Or maybe it is a small blood clot or something else but I am not sure they are related really. Follow up and don't ignore it.
