Two issues my lower abdomen is hanging and kangaroo pouch like after the smart lipo wasn't that way before . It's worse now and I cannot move a bowel movement even if I feel like it. When I go to the bathroom it's like I have no muscle to push . Did something go wrong ? Is this normal?
Answer: Pouch? Pictures? Hi there,Without pictures it is hard to comment. Pre vs post op. I would recommend following up with your surgeon, esp regarding bowel movements etc, depending on how long post procedure this was it could be from the pain meds or it could be caused by other issues.

You may have some swelling which can last 3-6 months after Smart Lipo. Compression along with lymphatic massage may give improvement. It really is too soon to tell what your final results will be.be. For best results with treatments like Smart Lipo, I recommend adding a combination of radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. SmartLipo will help tighten the skin but it can take several months for the final results. However, if you had a hanging pannus prior to surgery you could have a pouch. I would suggest you contact your surgeon to look at pre and post op photos. Also you need to discuss the concern of difficulty with bowel movements.

Answer: Excess skin after lipo could require body contouring. Although it's hard to make an accurate recommendation with photos, generally speaking, a good deal of loose or hanging skin left behind after liposuction means body contouring could be in order. Smartlipo™ can offer a minor degree of skin tightening, but won't offer the same significant level of correction as a tummy tuck. The problem with your bowel movements is also quite concerning, and definitely requires following up with your cosmetic surgeon. Best of luck to you.
