Whether true custom implants are needed depends on they ratio of vertical drop to width at the angles and how far forward the extension needs to come. For females the jaw angle drop is almost all vertical and the anterior extension must come al the way to the chin to a smooth linear jawline effect. This can only be reliably achieved with custom jaw angle implants.
