This is a loaded question without a simple answer. There are several options for skin tightening. Some are laser based, others aren't. Which treatment is best will depend on your specific goals and findings which can be only determined through an in-person consultation and evaluation. Often times, the best treatment is a combination of different procedures which will give a well rounded result. I would recommend a consultation with an experienced physician who has multiple treatment options to treat your concerns. Best wishes.
Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Fraxel or Co2 are best for resurfacing. I always combine lasers with microneedling/prp, Sculptra, peels and rf treatments for more robust outcomes for facial rejuvenation. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
I use the Thermage FLX for skin tightening and often combine it with Thermage for the best results. When you combine both lasers you end up producing new collagen and treating fine lines and sun damage at the same time. Please consult an expert in lasers for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
Thanks for your question. After a complete consultation in a medical setting, we would probably offer you several options. If there is excess fat under the chin, we would recommend SculpSure Submental or Kybella. For skin tightening, we recommend a series of bulk heating treatments of the area. We love Pelleve for skin tightening. The goal is sustain a skin temperature in the treated area for 3-5 minutes at 42-45 degrees Celsius. Pelleve is painless, no downtime procedure that feels like a warm rock massage. Since it is radio frequency and not a laser, it is safe for all skin types and all ages. Best of luck.
