I have a very asymmetrical smile and face. Will Botox or Juvederm be able to fix it? (Photos)

Thank you for posting your question. I see the asymmetry that you are noticing in your smile. Everyone has some natural asymmetry and botox can potentially help in some areas to make your face appear more symmetrical. Specifically, Botox injections to your right DAO muscle can release the muscle and allow the right side of your smile to match the left. Botox may be able to help even out your brows as well, however I recommend starting with a minimal amount in order to avoid over correction. On average, the effects of Botox last approximately 3-4 months, at which time the treatment can be repeated if you like the results. For the concerns you specified here, I do not recommend filler at this time. With this level of detail, I strongly recommend consulting a board-certified specialist who is very experienced with Botox injections. 

This is a commonly asked question. In many cases Botox and fillers are excellent for improving facial symmetry and balance. Neuromodulators like Botox can improve asymmetric smiles and other dynamic changes. Fillers are useful to improve volume differences from one side of the face to the other. Good luck 

Yes, a combination of fillers and Botox with lasers and microneedling/prp can improve the asymmetry. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Good afternoon.  Thank you for your questions and pictures.  Although, most people have slight asymmetry of their faces, this is completely normal.  However, people do try to improve these findings if possible.  I feel Botox would be very beneficial to help with the wrinkles a great deal and you would be very satisfied.  As for Juvederm, I would need a few more side and oblique photos to make a better decision.  Thank you for your questions and wishing you the very best of luck.Dr. Aimee Nguyen

Both Botox and fillers can be used to improve asymmetry of the face which is very common. Most importantly, see a local expert injector with extensive experience and training (e.g. a dermatologist) to ensure optimal results and safety.

For animation asymmetry, Botox is often used especially in patients who have recovered from Bell's Palsy.  For the volume problem, filler or Kybella have been used to reduce the cheek volume, but it is off-label. 

Facial asymmetry is certainly natural to everyone's face. An in-office examination is important to determine the extent of your asymmetry and if there is any continued underlying cause. Generally speaking, non-invasive procedures such as botox and fillers can help better match the two sides of the face since you can selectively target the areas to be treated. Hope this helps!

Everyone has some facial asymmetry and the goal in your case should not be to eliminate the asymmetry completely but reduce the difference between the two sides of the face. Combination treatment using neuromodulators such as Botox/Dysport and dermal fillers will give you the best result. Good luck.

From the limited photos it seems you should get some benefit from Botox and fillers.  the combination would be best for you and be sure you see a board certified dermatologist
