Does a good BBL result depend on your age?

Question

I got a BBL a year ago. The projection is fine but the roundness did not last and I am back to the square shape. I am so disappointed and I paid over 14,000.00! I asked the office about a redo and of course they will do for more money but I have lost confidence :(

Dear, the BBL is a fat transfer. It doesn't deal with muscles, skin or the bony framework. Usually, as we age, skin looses its elasticity which can affect final roundness. Anyway, photos would help to evaluate whats is probably going on and how you result can be improved. Best regards.

Yes a "good" BBL does depend on a lot of factors and one may be age. There are a lot of factors that lead to a really nice result. I think the most important thing is that a patient have realistic expectations. Not every patient can have the look of their wish photo no matter who their PS is and what the patient's age is. The task force created by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is now saying that patients should have the mind set that they will do 2 BBL surgeries to get the results that most patients want. With this new information which went public with new guidelines for safety in ~late January/early February 2018, many PS now do not offer "free revisions" on a BBL. We are also told that a 2nd BBL surgery should no longer be considered a revision but just a planned 2nd BBL. Even the PS who still do offer "free" revisions on their work (BBL specifically), the patient still has to pay for the operating room and anesthesia fees which is not cheap.
