There have been no studies for minoxidil use on the beard. It is entirely an off label use and should be trialled only under supervisiom of a physician. There is no evidence in the medical literature or from my patients that this is a side effect of minoxidil use on the beard.

minoxodil can be used on the beard. Standard solutions of 3% or 5% can be applied which should be purchased from your local drug store
