Answer: Beard transplant hyperpigmentation. The redness remains just after surgery and it is "normal" to stay for months. That pinkish redness/discoloration may fade away in a long time up to 3-4 months . İt depends on your skin color/fitzpatrick classification (Lighter thecolor of your skin , more reddish discoloration on skin after surgery). Hydrocortisone cream ( or you may use betnovate cream which contains Betamethasone)are all good for both itching and pinkish discoloration . But I recommend you to use additionally Dermovate Lotion (Clobetasol Propionate) 0.05% 2 times a day that is a very strong (super-high-potency) corticosteroid against itching and redness.

Answer: Hyperpigmentation As you are using this term, I am not sure what you are referring to. Can you post some photos and then you will get more direct feedback. Hyperpigmentation, in the classic sense, does not appear in a couple of weeks

Answer: Beard hair transplant Thank you for asking this question. Please post some pre and post-operative pictures for us to give more precise advice. Hyper-pigmentation after any transplant is a very normal phenomenon. Unless you are just experiencing redness in the recipient area, you don’t have to worry and just wait for around couple of months for it to completely vanish. There is nothing which anyone can possibly do to faster this process. So, we would suggest just to sit back and relax. Good luck! Regards, Dr. Amit Gupta
