I'm 54 years old. BMI 27. Lost over 100 pounds so I have excess skin all around. In 2020 I was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Vasospasms on an angiogram where they visualized the spasm. I was given a bit of Nitro and it resolved instantly. Since that time, I have quit smoking and have resolved all my coronary spasms. My cardiologist says he is not worried about my having surgery at all because I am healthy now. Will I still get refused, and why?

Congratulations on your weight loss! What a great accomplishment. Now that you have lost 100 pounds, stopped smoking, and the fact that your cardiologist has given you clearance, I think you are ready for your 360 circumferential lower bodylift. I do NOT think you will get refused for your lower body lift solely based on a history of coronary artery disease. I specialize in reconstructive plastic surgery after weight loss. If you have any more questions regarding the lower body lift, 360 circumferential lower body lift, belt lipectomy, belt abdominoplasty, or belt dermolipectomy please contact my office. Since the body lift is a big procedure, please seek an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon with significant experience performing the lower body lift. Do your research. Make sure they have performed at least 100 circumferential lower body lift surgeries and have the before and after pictures to prove it. Carefully examine their before and after pictures and check their reviews on RealSelf. Answer: Belt lipectomy Dear Easygoing9646, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You would need to get clearance from your cardiologist prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
