If I have an allergy to numbing cream, will I have an allergic reaction to dermal fillers?

Each time the cream is applied, I get strange sensations through my body and my entire face immediately turns bright red (before the actual treatment) and stays that way for one to two weeks following non-ablative fraxel treatments. I am interested in dermal fillers for acne scarring and wrinkles but am concerned about reacting to the pain medications in the fillers. Should I have a skin test to check for allergic reactions before I proceed with any fillers?

You would be a great candidate for Botox and I'm confident you will be pleased with the results if it is injected properly.

I would be surprised if any physician would agree to giving a free Botox or filler treatment.  Sometimes, doctors do need a patient for a training session or live injection at a meeting and it is possible that your treatment could be discounted in those situations.

Fillers injected appropriately in the tear trough give great results.  I suggest injections with cannulas as they limit swelling, bruising and pain with injections.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi,Tear trough correction can look amazing.  However, I would advise you to find a filler injector with a great reputation for great results.  There are lots of techniques that work.  It is the skill that is key, not the tool.  It would be like saying you only want a roofer...
