Uneven Swelling After Bullhorn Lip Lift

Question

Bulhorn lip lift - I had mine 3 days ago. Is uneven swelling (nostrils) common? I know it's too early to look in the mirror, but my nose and the area from my nose to my lip is very swollen, as expected. But one nostril appears a little bigger than the other one. When should I dare look in the mirror again! Thanks.

Good day! Generally, 3 days is too soon to see results because swelling persists for 1-2 weeks and tightness should diminish within a few months. Thank you for your question. The Lip Lift procedure is performed to accentuate the size and/or shape of the upper lip by removing skin from the region just underneath the nose. As the distance is decreased between the nose and the lip, the red lip is 'lifted'. In appropriate individuals, shortening this distance may impart or restore a more favorable balance to lips and face.
Your experience of uneven swelling after only 3 days is entirely normal.
  
In most cases, there is significant improvement in the swelling by 72 hours following the procedure. Much, but not all, of the remaining swelling is resolved by 1 week. Most women feel comfortable being seen in public after 1 week, and are even more comfortable by 2 weeks.

Any surgery need TIME to completely heal. Prior to any surgery you need to be psychlogically ready for the healing process. There is no majic. 6-12 weeks before the swelling and final results
