Thank you for your question. There are physicians who use Kybella to treat fat pads under the eyes, and I don't believe it's a problem as long as your physician is a skilled and experienced injector. It is important to keep in mind that Kybella is FDA approved only for the treatment of submental fat. Treatment in other areas is considered off-label.
I would not suggest mesotherapy not Kybella for treating your under eye bags. Better you camouflage it with the use of fillers.
Thank you for your question. Kybella® is currently only indicated for chin fat reduction so no studies support treating under eye bags.
Thankyou for your question. Kybella is only recommended for double chin at this stage. I know people that are using it in other areas but i would be very hesitate to suggest you have this done to your eye-bags. Far too risky. I would get a second opinion re your eyes. good luck with your research
Currently, Kybella is approved for the treatment of submental fullness caused by fat below the chin. I would be hesitant in my clinic to treat undereye fat using Kybella until more studies are available.
Hi There-- Kybella is safely used for reducing chin fat. Some doctors are currently using it for many other areas off-label. However, I would bot recommend it for any other area until trials are done to show it is safe. Unlike other injectibles, Kybella is a fairly dangerous substance. It is a bile acid that dissolves fat on contact-- but fat is what makes up cell membranes AND myelin -- the coating around your nerves. In the original trial, there was a nerve that was temporarily damaged 4% of the time. We take great pains to avoid that nerve, but this occasionally happens. Happily it has always been temporary-- weeks to months, but not permanent. SO, any new location, doctors need to make sure there are no important structures that could get damaged by the injections. That's why I will not use Kybella off-label until studies are done showing it is safe. I would definitely not recommend it for under the eyes!
Kybella is FDA approved for sub mental (under chin) fat reduction. I would not recommend using it under eyes due to high risk of side effects in such a delicate area as eyes. I recommend to see a qualified physician for a second opinion.Best of luckDr. Yagudin

Swelling after Kybella is normal and should be present for the first 4 weeks. However, some people can get granulomas which can be firmer areas or nodules or lumps/bumps. These usually require massaging and/or steroid injection and help this resolve faster. I would just be patient and do the ...
It is very common and I would still expect to see swelling 4-6 weeks after treatment and some numbness. Best wishes
