How many ccs in breast fat transfer?

Question

2 part question- how many cc's of fat can be removed for AFT? And what's the maximum amount that can be transferred to each breast? Hoping to go from a 36C to at least a 36D. And I definitely don't want implants. Please let me know! Thanks!

Dear Patient:  In order for you to go from a C to a Cup we calculate about 50% retention.  In general if I transfer 500g to each of your breasts that should get you close to a D cup from a C cup.  The final result we usually see at 6 months if you desire an even bigger size you can always have more Fat Transferred to your breasts.

Thank you for your question. The amount of fat that can be placed in the breast depends on many factors. First the breast itself. This would vary significantly from, say, a woman who has never had children who has a small A cup to another patient who might have had significant expansion from pregnancy or weights changes in her life that would allow more fat to be placed. Like planting a garden, seeds must be interspersed throughout healthy tissue so that maximal survival can occur. Placing all the seeds in one hole would inhibit their ability to germinate and live.The second factor deals with the area of harvest or the sites from which the fat is to be obtained. Although most women have adequate fat reserves, thin patients may be limited to the amount of fat that can be placed. This involves multiple discussions and the technical aspects that require a full consultation by a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in these matters.
