Should I add more filler to the corners of my lips or just dissolve? (photo)

I hate looking unnatural and right now I feel like my lips look very fake. I think there is too much filler in the center of my mouth but not enough in the corners. I'm afraid that adding more filler will just make the problem worse.

Probably the easiest and potentially the most aesthetically pleasing alternative is to add more filler (Volbella) to the lateral aspect of the upper lip on each side.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  If you are looking to better balance your upper to lower lip the best decision would be to dissolve some of the filler along the center of your upper lip.  If you are happy with the central volume, add additional filler to the sides of the upper lip as well as to the bottom and you should have improved results.  Hope this helps.

h_l_d.     I appreciate your concern but I think your best option is a bit more filler to the lateral areas of your upper lip to even things out.  I think doing this will not make you look over done, if placed conservatively.  Talk to your injector because you are correct that too much was placed centrally. That said, if you choose to fill the lateral aspects of the lip, I suspect that the upper lip may over power the lower lip.  It is possible for you to have much better lip shaping but the upper and lower lips need to be kept balanced.

Hi and thank you for your question! The key here is knowing when you got the injections. If it was done within the last 2 weeks, you need to wait as there might still be some residual swelling and the look of the lips is not final yet. If it has been 2 weeks or more, then the best approach is to do a follow up with your injecting doctor for a more accurate assessment. The problem is that there is little bit too much in the upper lip and not enough on the sides.  You would have  to dissolve the top center since there is too much there to have a more natural look. Please consult an expert in lip fillers for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green
