I have very small lips, but I do not want to get them injected to get big lips, I just want normal sized lips. I talked to my friend from a different state that was able to buy .3cc because that is all she needed. Do all clinics charge per .1cc? Or are you required to buy a whole syringe? Thanks in advance.
Answer: What is the smallest amount of lip injections I can get? Thank you for your question. There are many things one looks for in nice lips, (overall shape, cupid's bow, fullness and enhancement, etc.). This can be done with injectable fillers. Our office likes the Hyaluronic Acid injectables for the lips, (Juvederm Ultra XC, Restylane-L, Vobella XC, Belotero, etc.). Each has pros and cons, and the procedure must be individualized to your lips. Please don't over do it. Please go to an experienced, well trained injector. They should be able to guide you as to the proper type of injectable and amount that you need. Price depends on the city, and who is injecting, (Physician, Nurse, PA, etc.). Remember that cheap gets expensive fast. Please call with any questions.Jeffrey J. Roth, M.D., F.A.C.S.Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLas Vegas Plastic Surgery

Answer: Lip Injections and Amount Needed for Correction Hello there,Thank you for your question. While there may be some doctor offices who may allow for a smaller portion, it is best to speak with a board-certified physician who is very experienced in injecting fillers. There is certainly an art to injecting and with experience comes the ability for the doctor to properly educate you on the amount you would need in order to achieve the look you are wanting. Each person's lips vary in shape and fullness so recommendations are unique to each individual. Fun Fact: Five syringes are the equivalent of a teaspoon of volume so in that respect, 1 full cc is not a lot of product. Hope this helps. All the best,Carlos Mata, MD, MBA, FACSBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Amount of filler for lips this is a good question. Filler is sold by the syringe. Once the syringe is opened it can not be used for another patient. I am not sure how your friend was able to purchase only .3cc of product. Usually the product is .5-1ml per syringe. Your provider should be able to advise you as to how much filler is needed to achieve the results you want. if there is left over filler your doctor may be able to inject it in other area.

Answer: Refrigerate HA fillers are primarily my specialty, or atleast what I do the most of it seems. You could but a tiny amount and maybe thats all you would need. Juvederm does sell a .4 but it is almost the same price as a full 1mL syringe so why not try this: buy the full syringe (use belotero if you cant afford juvederm it works great) a good injectionist will use only what you need. Save the rest in the refrigerator and you can use it a few weeks later after the swelling goes down you may decide you liked the swollen look. 99% of my clients who say they have small lips and want the minimum end up wanting more, and then you can since the syringe is already purchased.

Answer: Price is by syringe If you want a very minimal amount of lip filler done, I would suggest going with volbella. It comes in a 0.5 cc syringe. Most other fillers come in 1 cc syringes.
