I started an ipl+rf home treatment on my face (sideburns and chin) 2 weeks ago. I am 33, I have light skin and some coarse dark hairs on these areas. I have been plucking them for 10 yrs. I hped this was a solution, but I read that it was possible for new follicles to be activated by ipl? This means that the problem could worsen? I did notice a lot of growth in tha last 2 weeks although it might be the usual amount of previously plucked hairs. Please help!

The short answer is that no one know for sure but the general recommendation from me would be no. Lupus generally is an inflammatory disorder and in general the patient skin is more sensitive than usual. They can easily break out into rashes and often time there is no stressor but...
Lasers and fillers do not effect your IV or IM therapy but you need a well trained laser physician as you are asian skin type and at more risk for complications post IPL and laser if not done properly. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thanks for your question. I'd wait. Prednisone can slow down your healing from any procedure. Some drugs increase your sensitivity to light, including some antibiotics. Best to wait a couple of weeks before having a cosmetic treatment.
