Thank you for submitting your question and photos. The eyelift procedure known as blepharoplasty can correct sagging in the upper lids while defining the crease and reducing the appearance of wrinkles in this area. In some cases, fat may be repositioned around the eye to volumize where needed and create a cohesive result overall. The ultimate purpose is to contour the appearance of both eyes to bring them into balance with each other, as well as your other facial features. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess your concerns and suggest the best course of action.
As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. In some cases, surgery is the best solution to achieve the desired results. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.
This is a common question. Upper eyelid hooding can be corrected with blepharoplasty or cosmetic eyelid surgery. It is one of the first cosmetic surgeries people usually get. While the average age might be 30 to 50's, some patients get this done in their 20s. It really depends on your unique anatomy as well as what exactly is bothering you.Botox injections as well as laser treatments can also be a tremendous benefit if you are not interested in surgery. Of course, there are also many combinations. The recovery & downtime is very minimal. There are usually no drains, most people can go out the same day, you can shower the next day and most patients take no pain medicine. There are never any guarantees of course with any procedure whether it is surgical or nonsurgical in nature.I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of eyelid lifts but also offers all the nonsurgical options such as injectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations.I hope this helps answer your question. There is excess eyelid skin that could be removed with an upper blepharoplasty. There is asymmetry that has to be taken into account. The eyebrows are in a high position already. Botox treatment will help the frown lines and crows feet and indirectly will improve the blepharoplasty result. Best wishes
Thank you for your question. Looking at the photos you have provided I think your a great candidate for a upper eyelid procedure. It will help with giving the eyes a more rested look. I would suggest speaking with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options with you. Best of luck to you.
Thank you for your pictures. You are a great candidate for Blepharoplasty surgery. With age, our eyelids stretch and our muscles weaken. Because of this, excess skin and fat accumulate above or below your eyelids which results in droopy eyelids like yours. We can easily remove excess fat to achieve a healthy, youthful appearance with blepharoplasty. Best wishes.
According to your photos you are a good candidate for upper blepharoplasty.Hope this helps Best regardsDr Ayse
Thanks for your question! I think an upper eyelid surgery, or upper blepharoplasty, would be a great solution for you. Your eyebrows appear to be in a good position so just an upper bleph would allow more show and open up your eye. Good luck!
For a minimally invasive, nonsurgical option, check out "The Ten Minute Eyelift.' I have been performing this procedure for years and have even performed it on myself and family for precisely this problem. Make sure to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.
From your photos you appear to be a good candidate for an upper blepharoplasty This procedure removes excess skin and corrects fat herniation in the upper eyelid. The incision is well hidden within the crease. The result of the surgery is a fresher, more youthful appearing eye. I've included a video that I hope you find helpful.
I agree that there are 2 findings on your photos - lower eyelid bags and cheek deflation. The most definitive way to treat the lower eyelid bag is a transconjunctival blepharoplasty (TCB) to remove the fat. You can then follow this up with filler to the midface a few months later if you desire...
It's difficult to say without the benefit of a formal evaluation. This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
There are subtle differences in the two eyes. However, you are deeply wrong in believing that this is noticeable by other people. It is not. We do live in a sick world. If you knock on enough doors, someone will offer you surgery. Surgery will not fix the issue. However, it is very likely to...
