I am wanting projection in my upper lip. Voluma worked great, but migrated after only 4 months. Recommendations? I had .5 ml Voluma in my top lip 4 mths ago and initially loved that it gave me nice projection. My philtrum is naturally a little too long for my face and my top lip had no projection, which made for an unflattering side profile. The projection is looking flat again after only 4 months, which this filler is supposed to last 12-18 months (I understand it likely migrated). I’m not sure if the rhinoplasty I had 2 months ago has affected this. I’m looking for recommendations, filler or surgical.

Thank you for the question. Based on your photos, there is no indication for a lip lift. In fact, you have good symmetry. upper lip length, and full youthful lips. I hope this helped. I wish you the best of luck. Vasileios Vasilakis, MD. Fellowship-trained plastic surgeon. Houston, TX.
Thank you for your question. As we age, the upper lip lengthens. A lip lift can be helpful for shortening the upper lip and improving tooth show, something that fillers alone cannot accomplish. Based on your photo, if you're looking to shorten your upper lip, a discussion with your surgeon...
