I am a transgender MTF and I'm interested in liposuction/fat transfer to hips?

A couple of thoughts:If you've started hormonal therapy, it may help with deposition of fat on your hips.  If you haven't, start.  It may help with the fat's engraftment.You really need a decent amount of fat to effect the result I suspect you're after (maybe more than a liter).  You may not have that in your abdomen alone.Infection is always a possibility.  I add antibiotics to the fat I'm grafting back and haven't had an infection.This si a tricky thing to get beautiful.  Make sure you go to someone with a lot of experience in fat grafting.  Believe it or not, there aren't many around.Good luck!

All the viable fat can certainly be transferred to the hips. As for infection and other complications while it is certainly possible, I have not had any in treating thousands of areas.  The thing that you will need to consider is how much fat do you have to transplant. It is best to have a consult with an experience surgeon.

I think that you need to be seen in person to determine if you have enough fat to achieve your goals. Best of luck!
