QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Got BA 3 days ago and hear a bubbly squeaky sound only in my left implant when I raise my arms?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Most likely, that sound is the implant moving against residual air in the pocket.  That air resorbs naturally over time and will not be an issue in a couple of weeks.

Hope this helps,

To lose or gain before BBL and TT? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Your post brings up a couple of interesting questions from the surgeon's perspective.  First, what is the best weight to body surgery?  My answer is usually the weight that's easily sustainable for you.  You don't want to lose a bunch of weight, have surgery, and then gain it all back!  It will lay out in secondary areas, and you will not like the look.

Next, how does weight loss affect the engraftment of fat into the buttocks?  Bottom line is that it hasn't been studied.  My concern is that weight loss sets up a hormonal environment that does not favor fat grafting anywhere, including the buttocks.

Finally, realistic expectations.  The pictures you show are outside the realm of what's possible for you and would serve (to me) only as directional guidance.  As long as you realize that, you may be pleased with the results of your surgery.

I hope this helps.  Please find a really experienced body surgeon near you.  Make sure you see lots of before and afters!

Lip lift? Would I be a good candidate? Should I wait until I'm older? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Kind of tough to tell from the photo you provided.  It's a little dark and doesn't show enough perspective of your face.  Two photos are most useful: a full face view with your mouth closed and a full face view with your lips gently parted.  What you're looking for is a few things:

First, do you see the bottom of your upper teeth with you lips parted?  I suspect you do.  If you do, it's a mark against a lip lift.

Next, is your nose at least half as wide as your mouth?  If it's not, your lip may come out too arched in the center.

Finally, is your nostril sill deep or gently rounded?  If it's rounded, you won't hide a scar well.

Eighteen is really young to do a lip lift, although I've done it.  Find a board certified surgeon near you who has a lot of experience with lip lifts to get a better opinion.

Hope this helps,

Will I be a D cup? What's full profile? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Kind of an impossible question to answer, right?  Over the next 3-6 wks, you'll know what you've got in terms of size and shape, although I usually wait 3 months for a "final result. "  If the size and/or shape isn't what you'd hoped for, it should be pretty close. If you're really unhappy, talk to your surgeon - there are always things he can do.

Hope this helps!

Should I correct for asymmetry? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Thanks for your question. The short answer is "no."  A 25 cc size difference is not worth correcting in the overall volumes that you're talking about.

Come excited to the surgery. You're going to have a great result!

Best regards and happy new year.

Will I most likely be able to feel my saline implants post op? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You ask important questions, ones that are ultimately impossible to answer.  What surgeons do is try to "put the odds in your favor"  so that the implant is as in perceptible and as soft as possible. Generally, that means going to silicone. As you're well aware, silicone on a cc per cc basis will be softer than saline - especially softer than overfilled saline.

One option you didn't mention is the ideal implant – a saline that has multiple shell and feels as close to silicone as saline can.

You have good anatomy and should have an excellent result. Your implant size seems reasonable. It's your expectations that need to be worked out and this is best done with a board-certified plastic surgeon near you.

I hope this helps,

Are there new breast implants out there that address the autoimmune problems that can occur, or is fat transfer an option?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The best way to address your concern is to use a saline implant.  You probably don't have enough fat to transfer and fat grafting for cosmetic purposes is still experimental. Silicone, no matter the implant, will leave you with the thought that you have something toxic in your body.

We've used the ideal implant for sometime now, and like it quite a bit. It's triple lumen shell construction  keep it from folding and ultimately, from rupturing.

If you'd like to pursue the idea of implant further I suggest you go to their website.

Hope this helps!

When will I see first signs of my implants dropping? My implants are high at post-op day 6 and still feel quite tense. (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

They should start to drop and soften in another three weeks or so. If I don't see implants softening at the one-month mark, I will often put my patients on a drug called Singulair. This drug can help soften implants at this relatively early stage of healing.  Check back with your plastic surgeon around that time if you are still concerned.

Good luck!

What would give me best results out of these options? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You are a complicated and difficult case, and there is no one right answer.  Excellent results are possible, and the temptation is to combine as many procedures into one surgery as can be safely done. The problem that all surgeons have different opinions about what is safe. That's because all surgeons have somewhat different experiences when combining their individual surgeries.

I would suggest that you visit well respected board-certified plastic surgeon is near you, and listen to the recommendations with an ear tuned to caution.

I hope this helps.

Life Changing, Confidence Boosting Results.

This was my second rewarding cosmetic surgery experience with Dr.Sigal, my first was in 2021. This time around I was just as impressed with the team at Austin-Weston from consultation for a breast lift and lipo suction, through surgery, to final follow up. Dr.Sigal’s skill and artistry were reflected in my results, which I could not be happier with. Pre and post op instructions were clear and I felt safe that I was in the most excellent hands.

Dr. Sigal is awesome! Arm lift & reverse tummy tuck

I'm so exciting about my arm lift and reverse tummy tuck. My arms are small and snatched! The scar is barely noticeable! My reverse tummy took care of the loose crepey and sagging skin I had before the surgery. I can now where sleeveless cropped tops! I highly recommend Dr Sigal. He is very skilled surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner. He's very caring and listens to your concerns.

Better Than I Thought Possible

I went to Dr. Sigal for a Brest reduction and lift. I am extremely happy with my surgical results. I did not think it was possible to have such perfection at my age and with my keloid producing surgical history. Dr. Sigal approached my surgery with a will of steel to make the perfection happen. He was successful in his attempt. He used a new to market system called Bridgit. Ask for it if you scar badly. I have a hard time seeing my scars and I am 1month post opp. I had to share that my results are far beyond my expectations. The shape, size, proportions are perfect. Dr. Sigal is an artist that stands by his work. I recommend him 100% and would rate results 10/10.

Dr. Sigal is the Best!

I was so, so nervous about having plastic surgery, but Dr. Sigal was absolutely fantastic. I came in with printouts of research on complication statistics and he answered every single one of my questions thoroughly and patiently. I consulted with a few different plastic surgery groups before making my decision, but Austin-Weston was so far above the rest that there was just no comparison. As for the surgery itself - yes, it hurt, but I've had a number of surgeries for medical problems in the last few years, and in contrast with those, this was like a vacation. The doctors and staff are all so helpful, professional, and kind. The facility is more like a spa than a hospital. Finally, the results are amazing! All my concern about looking "fake" was completely unfounded. Everything looks and feels natural and is perfectly in proportion.

Austin Weston in Reston, Va is the Bomb

Let me start by saying that from my tummy tuck and lipo to flanks and abs in August, 2020, arm lift in November, 2020 to my final procedure my thigh lift in March, 2021 everything went according to plan. I had limited pain with my tummy tuck for a few days, arm lift was just more of a nuisance as you don’t have full mobility and the thigh lift was essentially painless. Yes, you will be sore but not in pain. I highly recommend Dr. Sigal at the Austin Weston in Reston, Virginia. I haven’t looked this nice since I was 18 and I’m now 53. Everyone at Austin Westin are superb from doctors, nurses, front desk to Coordinator!

Awesome! Cannot put into words how happy I am with my results

Mom of 3! I love fitness and have been pretty regimented for years now. I needed to exchange out my 12 year old implants and decided that I would add a tummy tuck. I struggled with the decision but decided it would be worth it because I was just tired of working out hard, eating right, but always having this loose, wrinkled skin.Dr. Sigal and the whole Austin-Weston team were amazing!! Everyone was super friendly, Dr. Sigal was so kind and confident which I connected with instantly! The day of surgery, it went so quickly, the nurses and anesthesiologist were so warm and welcoming. All of my pre-surgery jitters were instantly gone and before I knew it, I was waking up after surgery. I also stayed in the overnight room which I HIGHLY recommend. I had Chelsea as my overnight nurse and she was the sweetest and so comforting to have. I also highly recommend the pain pump! For me, my pain was never over a 5 during that first week. I was so relieved! I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Sigal and his team. I also cannot put into words how happy I am with my results. HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend!
