I did a sculpsure treatment on my flanks and my right side felt intense heat but my left didn't feel much but the coolness. the temperature was 104 which she said was high but still. I asked if it's fine or if the applicators on my left weren't working right &I was told yes and that it happens, but really? for a treatment so expensive I want to be sure. Will I be loop sided? Ever happened before ? I saved a lot for this so Just making sure Its a normal expierence or if not and I should speak up

Answer: Heat felt only on one side with SculpSure It is true that sensation can be different between the sides, so it is not that unusual to feel more heat on one side versus the other on a SculpSure treatment. I do think it is a bit unusual not to feel anything warm though. If the applicator was not placed as tightly on one side, that could possibly make it feel less intense. I have treated a patient on the flanks and he felt that one side was much warmer than the other as well. I did not see any difference in result between the sides but I did retreat the side that he felt was not as warm because it made him feel better. I would recommend waiting 12 weeks after your treatment to evaluate your results. If you feel there is a difference between the sides, discuss this with the physician who treated you.

It will alert the physician if an applicator is malfunctioning or if it slips out of the proper position against the skin. It is not uncommon to have different levels of sensation in different sites even during the same treatment.
