Can SculpSure be used to reduce man boobs?

Question

I understand the tentacles cannot be placed over the nipple. What does that do to the aesthetics? Can the procedure still be performed on make breasts?

Sculpsure is a noninvasive 1060nm diode laser treatment that removes up to 25% of stubborn fat in the treated area in 25 minutes.It is FDA approved for the abdomen and flanks. It is safe if you get pregnant in the future.
  
The body contouring effects are seen in as quick as six weeks with final results at 12 weeks. 
  
The results are permanent as long as you maintain your weight and health.
  
The laser targets and destroys the fat cells only which are then naturally removed from the body. Since the laser does not affect the skin or muscle it can be used on all skin colors and there has been no reported incidents of burns when treated by a properly trained physician. It is protective since it alternates heating and cooling. 
  
It has four applicators that can be customized to treat the areas of stubborn fat. 
  
If a second treatment is needed we wait at least six weeks and usually closer to 12. 
  
If you notice lumps after (which I've never seen) I would recommend massage. You should also alert your surgeon.  No compression garment required.
  
There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities right after the treatment. There may be some soreness in the area for a few days for which you can take ibuprofen or tylenol. A cold compress can also be used.
  
Sculpsure is not used for skin tightening however some of our patients have seen this. If more skin tightening is needed we have combined this with thermi or Ulthera for a complete treatment. Sculpsure is recommended for stubborn areas of fat that are not being lost by diet and exercise. It is not a weight loss treatment
  
Since I have both a coolsculpting and sculpsure I am working on protocols of utilizing both of these depending upon what areas need to be treated and the response to the treatment. 
  
I have used sculpsure on other areas other than the abdomen with very good results. 
  
I also use a Vectra 3D imaging system to try and show people what their treatment areas could look like.

SculpSure could theoretically be used to treat male breast fat, but as you mentioned, I would not place the applicator directly on top of the nipple.  The procedure could possibly be done by placing applicators around the nipple.  I have found that CoolSculpting works fairly well on male breast fat and there is not the issue with treating over the nipple.

Sculpsure reduces 24% of the fat cells in a given area. However, certain areas of the body have denser fat and is more difficult to treat. The male breast is more fibrous. I would suggest using liposuction to obtain the best results.

Sculpsure is good for removing stubborn areas of fat, but lacks skin contouring and shaping. For best results for the chest, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. Yes, sculpsure can be used to reduce fatty tissue around the breasts in males. Sculpsure in general, requires a minimum of two treatments , spaced about 4-6 weeks apart

I would get a consultation from a non-invasive Sculpsure expert who has experience in this area. Find out who is the Sculpsure leader in your area. Unfortunately, many plastic surgeons have this technology but advocate more for surgery for a variety of reasons. The non-invasive approach is often best.

Yes. SculpSure could certainly be used "off label" to treat man boobs. It will take more than one session and depending on your anatomy, cost wise may wind up being the same as liposuction so I would suggest that you be assessed in person by a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your best option. SculpSure works great for "man boobs".  I have personally had this done and it worked great, in fact I am going to do it again!  The applicator heads can easily be placed around the nipple to avoid it.  It is an outpatient procedure with no down time, I have even had it performed between patients in my clinic.Good Luck!

SculpSure could be used to reduce fat around the male breast. As you mentioned, it would not be placed over the nipple. As with all SculpSure treatments, we advise that the patient is at or under the body mass index (BMI) of 30. This would help ensure that you see results.
