Which is a better option, Liposonix or SculpSure?

Question

I am trying to get rid of that stubborn lower belly fat. I have done extensive research into all of the non invasive fat reduction treatments and have narrowed it down to these final two. I want something that leaves no marks or indentations after the procedure. I would rather have no results than botched results.

Sculpsure is a noninvasive 1060nm diode laser treatment that removes up to 25% of stubborn fat in the treated area in 25 minutes.It is FDA approved for the abdomen and flanks. It is safe if you get pregnant in the future.
  
The body contouring effects are seen in as quick as six weeks with final results at 12 weeks. 
  
The results are permanent as long as you maintain your weight and health.
  
The laser targets and destroys the fat cells only which are then naturally removed from the body. Since the laser does not affect the skin or muscle it can be used on all skin colors and there has been no reported incidents of burns when treated by a properly trained physician. It is protective since it alternates heating and cooling. 
  
It has four applicators that can be customized to treat the areas of stubborn fat. 
  
If a second treatment is needed we wait at least six weeks and usually closer to 12. 
  
If you notice lumps after (which I've never seen) I would recommend massage. You should also alert your surgeon.  No compression garment required.
  
There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities right after the treatment. There may be some soreness in the area for a few days for which you can take ibuprofen or tylenol. A cold compress can also be used.
  
Sculpsure is not used for skin tightening however some of our patients have seen this. If more skin tightening is needed we have combined this with thermi or Ulthera for a complete treatment. Sculpsure is recommended for stubborn areas of fat that are not being lost by diet and exercise. It is not a weight loss treatment
  
Since I have both a coolsculpting and sculpsure I am working on protocols of utilizing both of these depending upon what areas need to be treated and the response to the treatment. 
  
I have used sculpsure on other areas other than the abdomen with very good results. 
  
I also use a Vectra 3D imaging system to try and show people what their treatment areas could look like.

Both are good for removing stubborn areas of fat, but keep in mind, a combination of treatments is needed for best results with Sculpsure or Liposonix. I recommend combining Sculpsure with Vanquish and Venus Legacy/Exilis Ultra treatments to improve outcomes. A VASER hi definition procedure would give you the best results with fat removal but would require more downtime.  I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

SculpSure and Liposoinx are great non invasive treatments for unwanted fat. I have both technologies in my office and have had great results with both. With that said based on your concerns with down time and evidence of treatment, my suggestion would be to go with SculpSure.SculpSure  you will have tenderness, swelling and possible nodules in the area of treatment. The nodules are usually felt not seen and results can be seen around 6-12 weeks.Liposonix you will have tenderness, bruising, swelling and results can be seen around 6-12 weeks. Results of both are permanent as long as you maintain and don't gain weight.

Go with SculpSure.  It has shorter treatment time (only 25min).  And it kills fat cells, not just "melt" them (ie, cause them to shrink).  Fat cells do not generally regenerate.  "Melted" fat cells can balloon up again when there's excessive calories to store away.  With SculpSure, you are not likely to need retreatment of the same area.

We recommend Sculpsure (diode laser) over Liposonix (high-intensity focused ultrasound) for several reasons.  
First, let's look at the level of discomfort or pain during the treatment.  Patients report a high level of pain during the Liposonix treatment whereas patients report that Sculpsure is a tolerable 25 minutes of periods of cooling and heating.  
Second, what will the patient experience after the treatment.  With Liposonix, patients experience swelling, bruising and pain; may require prescription pain medication; and may need to wear compression garments to help with the swelling.  After a Sculpsure treatment, the patient may get up and go about her day.  Typically Sculpsure patients will not experience pain, bruising or swelling post-treatment.
Third, FDA Clearance.  The Liposonix has FDA clearance for waist circumference reduction.  This means that the treatment has been cleared to reduce size by 'disrupting' the fat cell causing the fat cell to shrink in size.  Liposonix has not been cleared to 'destroy' the fat cell.  Compare to Sculpsure.  The FDA cleared Sculpsure to permanently destroy up to 24% of the fat cells in the treated area thereby reducing your size.  The fat cell loss is permanent with Sculpsure.  
We have had great results with more than 600 Sculpsure treatments.  You should not be concerned with marks or indentations immediately after the Sculpsure procedure nor should you worry about uneven results.  We have found the reduction in fat and size from Sculpsure appears very natural, smooth and even.  
Please select your provider carefully.  Choose a provider who is experienced in non-invasive body contouring treatments, and specifically in Sculpsure treatments.  We hope you love your results!

SculpSure is my non-invasive fat removal treatment of choice. Provided that you go to an experienced provider, the results are excellent. Especially in the lower belly. In our practice, we much prefer SculpSure, which uses laser energy to destroy, or melt, the fat cells. Liposonix uses radiofrequency energy, which does not seem to be as effective. The SculpSure device is faster, can treat multiple areas at one time, and avoids all the post-procedure complications seen with other devices, plus it will add a skin tightening component for smoother, more supple skin afterwards. Depending on the volume of fat in the area in question, you will likely need several treatment sessions, but will have no downtime to deal with.

SculpSure works and RF doesn't seem to produce consistent results and is painful and takes much longer to not achieve. I am happy with results of 2 years of SculpSure use. Cool Sculpting is very popular and effective but SculpSure is much faster and easier to recover immediately from and return to the gym or work.
