Does SculpSure work on fat rolls around the waist?

Typically excess fat around the waist is ideal for Sculpsure.  However, as we age there can be loose skin that sometimes seems to be excess fat. Additionally, intraabdominal bloating can make the waist appear bigger. If the fat is on the sides of the body, the flanks, this is one of the best areas to respond to sculpsure treatment. Examination by your doctor will be the best guide for appropriateness for your anatomy.

Sculpsure is a noninvasive 1060nm diode laser treatment that removes up to 25% of stubborn fat in the treated area in 25 minutes.It is FDA approved for the abdomen and flanks. It is safe if you get pregnant in the future.

The body contouring effects are seen in as quick as six weeks with final results at 12 weeks.

The results are permanent as long as you maintain your weight and health.

The laser targets and destroys the fat cells only which are then naturally removed from the body. Since the laser does not affect the skin or muscle it can be used on all skin colors and there has been no reported incidents of burns when treated by a properly trained physician. It is protective since it alternates heating and cooling.

It has four applicators that can be customized to treat the areas of stubborn fat.

If a second treatment is needed we wait at least six weeks and usually closer to 12.

If you notice lumps after (which I've never seen) I would recommend massage. You should also alert your surgeon.  No compression garment required.

There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities right after the treatment. There may be some soreness in the area for a few days for which you can take ibuprofen or tylenol. A cold compress can also be used.

Sculpsure is not used for skin tightening however some of our patients have seen this. If more skin tightening is needed we have combined this with thermi or Ulthera for a complete treatment. Sculpsure is recommended for stubborn areas of fat that are not being lost by diet and exercise. It is not a weight loss treatment

Since I have both a coolsculpting and sculpsure I am working on protocols of utilizing both of these depending upon what areas need to be treated and the response to the treatment.

I have used sculpsure on other areas other than the abdomen with very good results.

Candidates for SculpSure include healthy men and women who are struggling with isolated pockets of stubborn fat. Sculpsure is best used in individuals who are of normal weight and BMI, but who have localized deposits of fat unresponsive to diet and exercise. Realize that only 24% of fat is decreased in 1 area. Up to 3 treatments may be necessary to obtain the best results. There is no downtime with this treatment and results can take up to 3 to 6 months to see the best results.

Yes SculpSure will work on that area. Most patients will require a series of treatments (2-3) to get the results that they desire but this depends on your starting point and treatment goals. Best.

Sculpsure is good for removing stubborn areas of fat that can't be improved through diet/exercise alone. Keep in mind, a combination of treatments is needed for best results with Sculpsure. I recommend combining Sculpsure with Vanquish and Venus Legacy/Exilis Ultra treatments. A VASER hi definition procedure, which can be performed with a tummy tuck if there is skin laxity, would give you the best results with fat removal but would require more downtime.  I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

You sound like you would be an ideal candidate for this treatment. Sculpsure works best anywhere you have "an inch to pinch" that is resistant to diet and exercise. You want to be close to your ideal weight with just a pocket of fat that wont budge, it is not for weight loss. The only thing to think about based off of your age is the potential for a little laxity in your skin after reducing the fat. It is something that doesn't bother most people as long as they feel more comfortable in their jeans. Hope this helps!  

SculpSure can work well to reduce fat around the waist.  For most people, more than one treatment session is needed to obtain the desired improvement.  An examination of you would be needed to determine if the procedure might be beneficial to you.  

Sculpsure is a good option for removal of fat around the waist.  The most appropriate patient for Sculpsure is someone who is close to their ideal weight (within 30 pounds or so) who has localized areas of unwanted fat.  So you are the ideal candidate for Sculpsure.
Although Sculpsure can be used over many areas of the body, it gets very expensive when treating multiple large areas of the body or if there is an abundance of fat.  In that case, I usually recommend liposuction by a plastic surgeon if the patient wants a cosmetic treatment.
