Can periorbital swelling post hair transplant (temporal, traction alopecia) cause permanent disfiguration/pigmentation issues?

Swelling occurs in some patients and it may last for about one week. Once swelling occurs, there is not much you can do. It usually resolves by itself after a few days and does not require any special treatment.

The swelling you see is very natural and a part of the process. You can relax as it is nothing to worry about. It goes away after sometime.

Swelling can occur in the forehead and around the eyes after surgery.  Usually it resolves on its own with no long-term issues.  Steroids can help prevent the swelling but are not 100% effective.Given your concern, this is an issue to discuss in depth with your surgeon prior to your procedure.

Swelling that occurs after a hair transplant in the periorbital area is usually temporary and will almost always go away in a few days
