About 5 years ago, I had a recurrent mucocele on my bottom lip (always in the same spot). It was caused by biting my lip when stressed. I stopped that nasty habit, and the mucocele hasn't come back since. I'm interested in getting lip fillers, possibly restalyne. Will the process of getting the filler cause the mucocele to pop up again? And if so, could it make the mucocele even larger?

Looking at your profile it looks as though your upper lip protrudes because you have an overbite. This may be fixed through orthodonture. If this is not an option, placing some filler in your lower lip may give your lips a more even look. I would caution you that adding too...

If you had some bleeding after the injection it is possible that you have a small haematoma. This should settle with time. Cold compress will definately help.
Lips do swell up sometimes and this generally resolves over a few days.
