8 months post op rhinoplasty and my nose has a bump on the bridge. I'm having breathing issues. Is this normal? (Photo)

As the nose heals, little areas of bone may form into a small bump, and the position of the nasal bones after healing may not be ideal. This can usually be improved with a quick procedures of a little filing with a repeat of the osteotomies to bring in the bones better. As for breathing, that could be several possibilities so a good internal exam is needed. The bump probably has nothing to do with the breathing. But it can all be improved at the same time. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

You may benefit from visiting an otolaryngologist to determine why you are not breathing as well as you would like to. Insofar as the bump on the bridge of your nose, based on your photos, it could just be that you're right nasal bone is a bit wider than your left. Depending on your examination, this may be remedied by repeating osteotomies on the side of the bump. If you’re having breathing issues and steroid help temporarily you might consider nasal turbinate reduction.,it will accomplish the same thing but will be permanent.,your nasal bridge appears wide up too and you may need to bones broken and narrowed even though this may have been done previously

It takes an average of one year or longer for rhinoplasty result to mature and settle. Only at that time one will be able to objectively evaluate result and point some irregularities, obstruction, etc. After swelling and scar build up is gone, your surgeon will be able to decide what exactly needs to be done. Current deformity is not such that you need to have revision sooner. Hope this helps.
