No, this wouldn't be typical. Usually there is tenderness where the filler has been injected. If it persists, I suggest following up with your injector. Filler results take 1-2 weeks. Hope this helps.
Thanks for posting your question. It isn't normal for the jaw to be sore, however, if your injector made insertion point just above the jaw bone insertion (TMJ) you may have a little bruise there. This could cause some referred pain. Use ice and NSAID. If it doesn't resolve after a day or so see your injector. Best, Dr. M
This is atypical, but there is a relationship between the temporalis muscle and the TMJ, so displacement may cause referred pain. Your injector will know the exact answer as there are many ways to perform temple fillers. I suspect this is referred pain due to secondary pressure effects. Your temporalis mm. may be weaker due to pressure, this may overwork your masseters- best be guided by your dermatologist or plastics who performed this procedure as they can examine you and go through the origin and insertions of the muscles with you.
