Is it bad to take diclofenac after lip filler injections?

I have a small case of osteocondritis and i have to take diclofenac every 12 hours for 10 days, but tomorrow i have an apoointment for the fillers, should i cancel? Or it doesnt matter ? thanks!

This is not contraindicated with lip fillers. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers to discuss your desired results and concerns.

In general, I prefer patients to avoid NSAIDs for at least 1 week before treatment. That said, some people need them, and that's fine. The main cause of bruising is the needle or cannula hitting a blood vessel. Being on a blood thinner like diclofenac, aspirin or other NSAIDs simply makes the bruise last a bit longer and be a bit bigger, but only if a blood vessel was poked to begin with.

Good afternoon, is not contraindicated, however diclofenac may increase the risk of bruising after dermal filler injection. Discuss further with your board certified plastic surgeon.

Use of anti inflammatory medications like your medication 1-2 days before and after the use of fillers can cause more bruising and swelling . I usually advice mt clients their use t in that time period.
