Do fat dissolving injections actually work? Am I a candidate? (photo)

Kybella is good for dissolving the submental fat under the chin area while contouring the jawline and making the chin more defined, but a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options. I recommend a combination approach with Thermage, Ultherapy, and Exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is the best alternative for contouring the chin and can be performed with a neck lift, if you're a candidate. Yes fat dissolving injectables do work. For the submental region Kybella which is an injectable product can be used.

     Based on the photo I actually think Kybella would be a good option for you. You appear to have minimal skin laxity and submental fullness. Kybella usually involves 3-6 appointments, depending on the amount of fullness you have. Each treatment will involve up to a week of swelling/bruising/discomfort/numbness in the submental area. I would discuss your goals with an experienced provider for more information.

Hello Kybella is a fat dissolving acid that is injected in the area to get rid of that stubborn double chin. We have seen great results on patients after 2-3 treatments. There is no downtime and the results show fairly quick.Best of lucks!

Hello and thank you for your inquiry. Kybella is a non-surgical treatment that is very effective in decreasing submental fat and contouring the jawline. My patients are very satisfied with treatment results even after their first treatment but see better results with a second or third treatment, which is standard. It would be best for you to schedule an appointment to properly be assessed by a doctor. Most likely you will need 4+ vials.  Amount depends on your goals and if you are wanting your jawline contoured.

My patients have seen great success with two to three treatment sessions.
