Yes fat dissolving injectables do work. For the submental region Kybella which is an injectable product can be used.

     Based on the photo I actually think Kybella would be a good option for you. You appear to have minimal skin laxity and submental fullness. Kybella usually involves 3-6 appointments, depending on the amount of fullness you have. Each treatment will involve up to a week of swelling/bruising/discomfort/numbness in the submental area. I would discuss your goals with an experienced provider for more information.
