I had Kybella three weeks ago and I see no difference, actually it’s worse. Am I just being impatient?

Kybella is good for dissolving the submental fat under the chin area while contouring the jawline and making the chin more defined, but a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options. I recommend a combination approach with Thermage, Ultherapy, and Exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is the best alternative for contouring the chin and can be performed with a neck lift, if you're a candidate. It’s way to early to see results after Kybella treatment. There is swelling the first three weeks so things may look worse. Most people will need 3-4 or even more sessions before they see real change.

Kybella can be effective in reducing unwanted fat under the chin, but the treatment usually requires several treatment sessions spaced over time to produce gradual improvement.  It can take 6 weeks to see the results after a treatment and I normally space treatments to my patients at least 6 weeks apart.  It is not unusual that you would see no improvement 3 weeks after your first Kybella treatment. 

Hi court9931,It’s not uncommon to not see results 3 weeks post Kybella injections. Kybella results are typically seen 4-8 weeks after treatment with a recommended re-treatment every 4-8 weeks until desired results are achieved. With that, Kybella is not a one and done procedure. The final results take time to achieve, and patience. I hope this helps,

It is not uncommon to not see a visible change 3 weeks post Kybella injection. There is a inflammatory response from the injection that takes time for your body to clear out. I would recommend following up with your injector at the 4-6 week mark for photos and to discuss what time frame they would like to asses you for another treatment.
