Grid marks after Venus Viva. Is this an abnormal reaction?

Your reaction is totally normal.  The marks should slowly fall off over the next week, most commonly by day 5 or so.  You can keep your skin hydrated, but do not use an occlusive moisturizer such as Aquaphor.  Hope that helps. - Dr. Yovino

Thank you for your question and photographs. The grid marks and any scabbing is completely normal after a Venus Viva treatment. They will resolve usually within 5-7 days after treatment. The Viva treatment causes microscopic puncture wounds with the laser, which accounts for the grid marks and scabbing. I highly recommend you consult with the provider who performed the procedure regarding any further questions. Take care and good luck.
