I had Venus Viva today. Very red and swollen, plus some liquid leaking and throbbing sensation. Is this normal?

I recommend following up with your Doctor about after care. I recommend skin care with vitamin c, b5 hydrator, silicone based scar gels with growth factors and enzymatic washes with papaya enzyme. PDT therapy can help calm inflammation. Typically I recommend adding clear and brilliant, fraxel, viva 4-6 weeks after to improve results along with microneedling/prp to get the best outcomes with texture and tone.  Please see an expert. Post-operative instructions are paramount. In very rare instances we have seen moderate swelling from Venus Viva but never severe. In some cases a short course of steroids will help and topical therapy as well.  In many cases we use Venus Viva and Micro-needling after the Venus treatment.
