I have received Botox the past several years and have had an ongoing muscle recruitment problem in my eyebrows. I am able to completely remove the recruitment with a Botox treatment. However, I would like to stop Botox for a few years while I start a family. It looks quite horrendous once the Botox wears off. I have never gone longer than 5 months without a treatment, but it does not seemed to subside at the 5 month mark. What could I do to help the muscles return to normal? Please help!!

Answer: Botox forehead Many people do better with injections in the glabella and the forhead together to prevent muscle recruitment. This is not always true but often is. If you’re going to have a family and cannot use Botox there’s not much to do just let it wear off it will be a few years before you can use Botox again. You have to finish with pregnancy and breast-feeding and discuss with your injector what the plan should be afterwards.

Answer: Tired of Botox I can completely understand your concerns. You do have a significant number of wrinkles that are caused by the dynamic action of the muscles of the face. Eventually your face will return to its original state, i.e. before you started using Botox. There will be more balance in the face and you will stop seeing what you call recruitment of some of the muscles that you do not like seeing on the face. Be patient. Good luck from New York City
