Absolutely! There is no problem performing these procedures at the same time. They are addressing two different issues in different locations. Best of luck.
Yes. There is no problem in having a microneedling with a chin implant. The implant is under the muscle next to the bone and the miconeedling is in the skin. Good luck!
A chin implant is normally placed very deep under the skin on top of the bone. Micro needling on the skin would not reach that deeply so it should have no affect on the chin implant. I would see no problem having micro needling with a chin implant in place.
Placement of a chin implant occurs through an incision underneath the chin, and the implant itself is placed directly over the bone. Micro-needling occurs only on the outer surface of the skin, so it should be acceptable. Best check with your operative surgeon
Thanks for your question. There should be NO issue microneedling after a chin implant. Best of luck from NYC.
Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years. When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin". Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face. Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck. Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut segments of bone). I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. Once you're healed from the chin implant surgery, micro-needling over the chin area should not pose any issues....although it's always best to check with your chin implant surgeon.Hope this helps.
Dear Justpretty24, Yes micro-needling will not affect your chin implant. The chin implant sits on top of the bone and the needling is performed topically on the skin. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
The material used in the chin/jaw implant is irrelevant. What matters is the design of the implant and whether it can create the look you want and fit onto the bone in an intimate manner. The other issue to be aware is that a chin implant is not going to make your jawline any better, that is ...
