Hi, I just turned 18 and I'm really insecure about my breasts. I'm a 34B and my right breast is a lot bigger than my left. I have fatty tissue below my breast fold, which makes me wonder if that's where I'll fill out. My areolas are quite soft and puffy unless I get cold and they get erect. My friends keep telling me everyone goes through a stage as teens where their nipples are puffy, and my mom said I'm a late bloomer, but I still get worried. Will they stay this way forever??
Answer: Are My Breasts Still Developing? Judging from your photos you do not have tubular breasts. You do have a modest asymmetry which is very common. Your breasts may continue to develop and change over the next months to several years. Once the breasts are fully developed and you have concerns, then meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns. In the meantime, everything is normal. Best wishes. Dr. Gervais.

Answer: Breast Most ladies are fully developed by 16, so it is doubtful that you will change much until pregnancy or with weight gain. You do not have tubular breasts, but are small. I think you would do well with an augmentation. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your options.

Answer: Are my breasts tubular or am I just still developing? thank you very much for your question and the shared photos, at your age it is still too early to define the final development of your breasts, there are still a couple of years to go, however the asymmetry that you observe is normal, we all have the right body different from the left, so they pass with the hands, arms, legs, face, etc., once you have finished the development process, you can use a certified plastic surgeon and evaluate the surgical options in this case it would be a breast augmentation with prosthesis or with fat transfer according to options. I hope the information is useful, greetings from Cartagena Colombia

Answer: Are my breasts tubular or am I just still developing? Some degree of asymmetry is natural for everyone. You may still see changes in your breasts over the next few years as you continue to develop. I encourage you to be patient with your body during this time. In a few years if you still have concerns, visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you.

Answer: Normal #breastasymmetry during development Hi k1225,Your concerns about breast asymmetry are normal and common. Please know that in all patients there are differences in breast volume (from fat & breast tissue), shape & skin laxity. Many women see shifts in the early 20's so your breasts will continue to change with age and with monthly fluctuating hormonal levels. There are surgical ways to improve symmetry via fat grafting and/or implants. When you are ready, have a consult with an ABPS certified plastic surgeon for a full history, examination w/measurements, etc. Best wishes, Dr. Doolabh
