Hello, I am having my second child and plan on this being my last child. I am interested in getting information on how soon can a mother get breast surgery after having a baby, and which option is the best for someone that is wanting a natural look after having children? Breast lift or breast implants Thanks in advance.
Answer: Bellesoma Method Unfortunately, you have not told us if you are breast feeding or not. If you are breast feeding then you cannot have surgery until you have completely dried up after being done with breast feeding. If you are not breast feeding and are not large and engorged from the pregnancy then you can go ahead with surgery. In terms of most natural look, a breast lift is all natural as opposed to implants. The breast lift technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: How soon after giving birth can you have breast surgery Hi thank you for your question. It is best to wait at least six months after giving birth and you have stopped breastfeeding. As for as the type of surgery, it is best to be seen by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, who may help you decide on what procedure is best for your body and expectations. I have had patients who only have a breast lift and I have had patients that have decided on breast implants post birth. I hope this helps. All the best – Dr. Khuthaila

Answer: Timing Pregnancy and breastfeeding can impact the long term appearance of breasts. When considering breast surgery you will want to wait three to six months after childbirth and/or breastfeeding. This allows time for the body to heal, the milk to dry up, and the breasts to return to a balanced state. At that time you can evaluate if more volume is desired, if the breasts are sagging, or both. This will determine which procedures are recommended for correction.

Answer: Breasts It is best to wait 6 months after you have finished breast feeding before doing surgery. Your breasts will undergo changes and may not be at the final size or shape until at 6 months. If you do not breast feed, you will still need to wait 6 months to let all the hormonal changes fade.

Answer: Minimum 6 months after breast feeding complete or 6 months after delivery with no feeding; whichever is later This is the average amount of time for breasts to reach their final shape and size. You and your surgeon will have a better idea of your starting size. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, if interested. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Mildly Sagging Breasts: If your breasts are mildly droopy, a saline or silicone gel implant placed behind the pectoral muscle might help create the illusion of perkiness. That’s because as the implant fills out the top of the breast, it also fills out the bottom, making it look as if the nipple has moved higher. It hasn’t. You can always get a lift later if you feel you are not perky enough when fully settled and healed. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Answer: 9 months if.. We recommend you to move forward with the surgery after 9 months of stopping breastfeeding. If you are not going to breastfeed, you can do the surgery after 9 months of giving birth. Our aim is to wait until your breast's milk has totally stopped. Since you had births before, breast lift will be mostly needed because sagging must have been caused, but adding implant with the lifting will depend on your breast tissue and breast volume to be honest which can be discussed in a physical examination.
