10 years ago I had a breast augmentation with mastopexy (full anchor). I had my silicone 400cc high profile implants removed 4 days ago. Implant removal only. What do you think could have happened to my left breast (now disfigures)? Why doesn’t it look like the right one which came out decent? I had drains in both breasts for 3 days. Right breast had very little drainage/very little pain. Left one had some drainage and still has some pain, but not terrible. Is there hope for my left breast?

Answer: Implant removal Dear Blessed3Girls1Boy,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following implant removal surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
