Breast implant removal - what happened to my left breast? (photos)

Thank you for your photos and questions.  You are very early in your recovery.  It can take up to six months for you to see your final results.  There are still changes ahead as your breasts heal.  I know it's hard to be patient, but more time is needed.  I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon and follow his/her advice for optimal outcomes.

In general, the smaller the implant and the less the amount of time it has been since placement, the greater the chance the breasts will return to their preoperative state.  The appearance of the breasts will not be as nice as the appearance of the breasts prior to breast augmentation.  Four days after explant is too early to evaluate final results.  Follow your PS's post-operative guidelines and give yourself three to six months to determine if you are happy with the results or desire a lift or fat transfer.

Thank you for the question and photos. It is difficult to determine your final outcome as you are very early in your recovery. It takes about 3-6 months to see your final results. I would recommend to follow up with your board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Dear Blessed3Girls1Boy,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following implant removal surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides  you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD

It is too soon to judge your result.  Wear a good compression bra and follow up with your surgeon so he can monitor your progress.  Best to you.
