I went snowboarding in April for the first time, and in that week I fell a lot, which is normal for a beginner. I fell a lot on my buttocks and on my arms (falling forwards) I can't remimber if I fell directly on my breasts, I don't think so, I think that my arms and hands touches the snow first. I want to do breast fat transfer and I want to know after how many weeks or months I can go snowboarding again? What about using the breast muscles when you fall, and the cold temperature?
Answer: Exercise You really should wait about 3 months after surgery before snowboarding to avoid injury when landing on your breasts.

Answer: How long should I wait before snowboarding after a breast fat transfer? Six weeks is the typical amount of time that breast fat transfer patients should wait to resume exercise. You need to take it easy to begin and work up to the length and type of exercise that were part of your regimen before the fat transfer.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear sun15, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Snowboarding after breast fat transfer Each surgeon will have their own protocols and recommendations for postoperative care including restrictions of activities. Basic tissue grafting principles include immobilization and minimizing movement to increase tissue graft survival. For that reason most plastic surgeons will probably not want you to be overly active shortly after the procedure. For some surgeons that may be a few weeks and for others it may be several months. I suggest you ask your provider if you did not discuss this during your consultation. If you haven’t chosen the surgeon then focus all your efforts on finding the most talented and experienced provider for this procedure. Delivering consistent quality Liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe. A substantial number of plastic surgeons are not nearly as good at these procedures as they think they are. The number of plastic surgeons who can consistently deliver quality results including the ability to make an accurate assessment, show similar before and after pictures and deliver consistent results on a regular basis without causing any contour irregularities or other problems is relatively small. Anybody considering this procedure should spend a significant effort in finding the most talented and experience provider. Simply choosing a provider who is board-certified in plastic surgery with the overall good reputation is insufficient to confirm but they have mastered these two procedures. A breast fat transfer is in fact two operations done at the same time. One is liposuction and the other is fat transfer. A substantial number of plastic surgeons have not mastered how to do liposuction well on a consistent basis. To find the right provider I suggest patients have multiple in person consultations. During each consultation ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures. being shown a handful of sample pictures which most likely represent the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what the average results look like or how many of these procedures any particular provider has actually performed. For reference and experience provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 that’s a before and after pictures of commonly performed procedures. Ask providers to only show you pictures of previous patients who have similar body and breast characteristics to your own. Ask specifically what the timeframe is between the before and after pictures. Early for the transfer results can look very impressive but do not at all represent final results. After pictures should be taken a minimum of three months from the date of the procedure but preferably six months or longer. Confirm that all after pictures were taken along those timelines. Look carefully at all areas treated with Liposuction to make sure there are no skin contour irregularities anywhere. Take your time and review as many pictures as the provider is willing to show you. Preferably it should be a lot. Seeing pictures of patients who are very Different body characteristics in regards to both Liposuction and fat transfer a candidate see if someone mailing list since candidacy has a major impact on the potential outcome. Continue having consultations until you feel very comfortable you found the right provider for your needs. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of provider selection for this procedure.
