How much fat can be removed with liposuction while adding a breast augmentation in Texas?
Answer: Fat removal The amount of fat that can be safely removed is based on the amount of fat present and how many areas will be treated and your overall health and age. Your surgeon should be able to help guide you in this. Going over 5 liters of fat will require overnight IV fluids and observation.

Answer: Breast fat transfer Generally, there is a maximum of 5 liters, which is about 10 lbs of fat, that can be removed with liposuction. In terms of breast fat transfer, there is a limit by the recipient site. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs. However, it is usually 1 cup size increase. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Fat removal with liposuction Most plastic surgeons will limit fat removal to 5 L when done as an outpatient procedure. Florida is the great exception where the amount of fat is limited to 4 L if doing only liposuction and 1 L if doing it combined with another procedure. There are other states that limit fat removal to 5 L but the extremely stringent standards of Florida are reserved for that state only. Individuals who need more than 5 L of fat removed are far better off having successful weight loss before liposuction. Only significantly obese people need more than 5 L of fat removed. I suggest having a few in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons in your community. You can get an accurate answer to your question as well as getting a good assessment, better understanding our treatment options and of course begin the vetting process of choosing the right provider for your surgery. It’s important that patients recognize that Liposuction results vary substantially among different providers including board-certified plastic surgeons with overall good reputations. Liposuction results should be considered permanent and irreversible. The time to look for the most talented and experienced provider for this procedure is before you have surgery. Do that by having exclusively in person consultations and during each consultation ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures for previous patients who had similar body characteristics to your own. Asked to see examples of excellent outcomes, average outcomes and I’ll comes that didn’t turn out as well as the surgeon at hope for. Being shown a handful of preselected images representing the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what the average results look like or what your results will most likely look like. For reference an experienced surgeon should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets up before and after pictures for commonly performed procedures like liposuction. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
