Can I get breast fat transfer if I had blood clotted in the past due to chemotherapy?

Question

Will I still be able to get breast fat transfer if I had a blood clot in one of the artery? I later had a Csection and I was normal. I am a A cup hoping to be a B cup. Any doctor opinion will be highly appreciated.

I don’t think there are any significant risks based on your previous history. However, fat injections to the breasts really don’t work very well. Look at photos on the internet and to get a realistic idea as to what is possible.  Also, you should not have the surgery if you are currently in blood thinners for the clot.

Breast fat transfer is a great tool to balance breasts, improve symmetry, and gain up to one cup size in volume.  You will need clearance from the physician treating you for the blood clot as a result of chemotherapy.

You did not state the actual reason for your blood clot, and might need clearance from your medical doctor for an elective procedure. However, I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon, being examined, and discussing your options for a fat transfer and implants. Long term, the implants do better for most women.

it’s important to understand the exact nature of your history.Are you sure you had an arterial blood clot.That isn’t very common unless someone has a heart attack or stroke.For sure they can happen but it’s more common that people develop a blood clot in their veins. Lots of people develop small blood clots in skin veins called thrombophlebitis. This is happened to me and It’s not uncommon.  developing a blood clot in a deep vein can be a life-threatening condition. If the underlying risk factor that caused the clot has been resolved then you are probably at no more risk than the general population.I suggest having a few in person consultations to discuss if you’re a good candidate, what the procedure entails and discuss your medical history as well.if you have an unusual blood clotting history then a plastic surgeon may want medical clearance from your primary care doctor before doing elective surgery.1 cup increase in breast volume is a reasonable goal for fat transfer.
