I’m considering getting breast enhancement through Airsculpt. I’m just looking to fill my cup - currently deflated after two children. I’m on the skinny side. The doc just wanted to set realistic expectations that there might not be enough fat to give a full cup more but more subtle. The big concern is the downtime. In 3.5 weeks post op I have a vacation where I plan on wearing a bikini. How much of the bruising/swelling is visible? Being on the skinnier side, is swelling/bruising faster to heal?
Answer: Is there less swelling after Airsculpt lipo and fat transfer to breasts if the person is skinny vs. on the heavier side? Some of the retention rate will depend upon the amount of fat transferred, as smaller volumes will likely have a higher survival. Occasionally, a patient can resorb a great deal of the fat despite optimal transfer procedures. I typically transfer from 250 cc to 400 cc or so per breast. Thinner patients are outstanding candidates in my opinion, because the fat transferred is extremely resistant. After the surgery you will notice some bruising and swelling in the are of injection. This usually peaks within 2-3 days after the procedure. After 72 hours the swelling and bruising rapidly subside. Results are largely dependent upon the skill of the surgeon, his/her ability to remove fat without creating contour deformities, and your expectations. You would need a consultation with a board certified PS to determine your available fat stores.

Answer: Fat transfer Dear clearskinpls, Recovery time after fat transfer is short. Regarding sun exposure, every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Answer: Lift and fat transfer Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your bra size. However, an alternative to consider is a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time or later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast fat transfer You should avoid sun exposure after any procedure. I would expect that the bruising from fat transfer would be resolved by that point. If you are thin, you may not have enough tissue for a meaningful fat transfer. Additionally, I agree that Airsculpt is yet another in a long series of gimmicks. Focus on your surgeon’s credentials and concern instead.

Answer: Is there less swelling after Airsculpt lipo and fat transfer to breasts if the person is skinny vs. on the heavier side? A few things:1. Recovery from a fat transfer to the breasts is usually fast, other than the breast swelling which takes a few week.2. Fat transfer to the breasts gives modest results (unless a few sessions are done) so it is important to have realistic expectations. Cup sizes are not useful as they are not standardized. Volume sizers may be better to set expectations. 3.. Airsculpt Lipo is a marketing gimick and the results are no better than any other type of lipo. If any surgeon claims that Airsculpt is better, then ask for published studies on it (there are none). 4. Bruising and swelling depends on technique and other variable. You will wear a compression garment for a few week which will cover the bruising and reduce swelling. See link below for examples.
