First, very nice of you to donate a kidney. I took care of a patient 3 weeks ago with a similar situation and she did great. Good luck. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. RealSelf Distinguished Hall of Fame Inductee. Philadelphia, Pa., USA
Hello @Nece02 thank you for your question. Is important you consult with your nephrologist, if you have your doctor approval yes you can have your surgery. Keep in mind that for any surgery you want to undergo, you need to be in good health, which reduces the risks in the operating room. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD FACS
Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Yes, you can still get a breast augmentation after you have recovered from donating your kidney. Your kidney doctor and transplant surgeon will need to clear you for surgery. I hope this helps.
Thanks for your question! You would need to speak with both surgeons to get medical clearance. Good luck with everything & best wishes!
hello, what an honorable deed to donate your kidney! Once you are recovered, your kidney function is within normal limits then a discussion with your Plastic surgeon to proceed with a breast augmentation can begin. Talk to your nephrologist if possible and get a list of medications that you will be taking for the surgery to show your nephrologist if all of that would be ok. thank you
You would need to ask your nephrologist and transplant surgeon if that would be okay. I would not perform the operation but I think some others would. If there's even 1 percent chance of it causing kidney rejection it's not worth the risk. But that's just my opinion
Dear Nece02,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
A thorough medical evaluation would be required by a board certified plastic surgeon but if you are in good health there is no reason you would not be able to undergo an elective breast augmentation. Best of luck to you and to the recipient of your generous gift.
Hello and thank you for your question. As the donor for a kidney transplant as long as you have fully recovered and are in good health you should be able to undergo a breast augmentation without any issues. I wish you the best!
What a kind thing you are doing by donating your kidney! Once you have fully recovered from your kidney donation, your kidney function has returned to normal, and you have clearance from your nephrologist you can consider breast augmentation. Visit the ASPS website to find a board certified plastic surgeon near you.
Hi. I’m sorry to hear you are unhappy with your results. You can certainly get your areolas fixed. An areola reduction will make them smaller and rounder. I believe you need a lift as well though. If you do not want extra scars a Circumareolar Lift will correct your areolas, but it will not l...
Hi& thanks for your question! Based on your photo you would need a breast lift and placement of implants. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best wishes!
Hi & thanks for your question. Reach out to your surgeon to have your breasts examined. He or she can order any testing that is needed, if needed. Best wishes
An implant will increase the volume of your current breasts. A more natural look is obtained with a lower profile and more conservative volume.
Dear jillsxo, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will...
Hi & thanks for your question! Every surgeon has their own protocol. Follow all your surgeons instructions pre and post surgery. Best wishes!
