Brazilian butt lift. I'm 34 with hypothyroidism. Do you think this surgery is pointless?

A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If you are too thin, a Brazilian Butt Lift may not be possible.

Your plastic surgeon will have to obtain approval from your internist or endocrinologist.General rule of thumb is to be within 10 pounds of your weight goal, maintain a stable weight for several months prior to surgery, and have a calculated BMI of approximately 30. I would search for the board certified plastic surgeon who you feel is most likely to give you the best results and who performs hundreds of these procedures each year. Being 34 with hypothyroidism does not make a BBL pointless. I have a lot of patients in their 30s who have hypothyroidism. As long as you are followed by a physician regularly and your thyroid levels are checked, there is no problem with having a BBL. Plus 40 is the new 30, so you might as well get that sexy now :)
