Answer: If you are having issues after surgery, especially with "redness" you should contact your doctor.
Facial hair growth is a genetic trait. If you have very little facial hair there isn't much you can do to increase the growth. A surgical option would be a hair transplant procedure.
Occasionally the hair follicles are preserved within the incision. It may take up to one year to regrow hair in these areas. It is possible, that the widened area will never grow hair. This can be assisted by re excising and closing the scar, to bring hair follicles closer...
It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. In general most doctor would tell you to wait about two weeks.
