I have had botox in the glabella and enjoyed the smoothing but I'm noticing how thick the muscle looks when I lift my brows, especially on my right eye. Would botox help with this or what procedure should I look into?
Answer: Botox: what you should know Thank you for your question and photos. When administered by a skilled injector, Botox is an excellent option for reducing the appearance of a pronounced upper bow. This injectable treatment targets the overactive facial muscle causing the undesirable effect, with results lasting approximately 3-4 months. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified injector. They will be able to determine the best treatment for you and develop an effective injection schedule to help you maintain the optimal result.

This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Botox long term effects Botox is an excellent and actually the safest treatment for this, because it works by diminishing or blocking completely the muscle contraction, so by doing this on a long term (1.5 - 2 years straight at least), you can visibly notice that because the muscle hasn’t been contracting for a while, it will start to get smaller (same happens with biceps after not working out for a while for example). The only main thing it’s that it requires being very adamant about touch ups about every 4-5 months for 4-6 times in a row but this might vary. Also, you could use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for that area to even out the loss of volume, but it would require touch ups every 8 months or so, it’s also a tricky area and the outcome depends heavily on the ability of your aesthetic physician; I ultimately recommend sticking with botox and revisiting this in a year at least depending on your response to only using botox.

Answer: Balanced Botox administration As long as you go to an experienced plastic surgeon, you should be able to have a balanced Botox administration which can create miracles in the majority of patients. You can either Lower or Elevate brows with the use of Botox and good knowledge of facial anatomy. I hope this helps and would like from York City plastic surgery
