I have previous received 15 units of botox in each side of my jaw muscle and got a great slimming effect and chin filler . After the first month it almost looked too skinny and "alien" like but by the 2-3 month when my jaw started coming back I loved the result. 1 year later and my jaw has still not fully returned. I'm scared getting the 15 unit top up will make my face look too skinny and alien like given my cheek bones. Should I have a top up for botox and chin filler ? If so what amounts

Answer: Botox in masseters I usually inject botox to masseters people have overdeveloped masseters due to genetics but mainly due to jaw clinching or grinding. When getting botox to jawline for slimming you are actually weakening and thinning the masseter muscle which slims the face but can actually hinder chewing function. Unless you had overdeveloped masseters or jaw clinching/grinding teeth to begin with I would leave your jawline alone. Just looking at the photo I would not do anything at all. Adding more will give you a thinner face which seems like you are trying to avoid. Sometimes people like a heart shaped face rather than a squared off jaw but its more of a personal preference. Its also hard to determine of chin filler is needed because you need a side profile to look at symmetry and do not want an over injected chin. I would let the provider determine if chin filler is needed. Good Luck...
