I would suggest meeting with a board-certified plastic surgeon and being examined to see if you are actually a candidate for liposuction. Some fat must remain for safety to the skin.

It's difficult to tell without an in person evaluation if you are a good candidate for liposuction. Recovery is typically 5-7 days with bruising and swelling lasting several weeks. A compression garment is often recommended to manage swelling and support healing tissues. Post op instructions will vary by surgeon, but a general estimate is six weeks to return to exercise without restrictions.
