Is it better to wait few months for 3rd Sculptra? (Photo)

Question

I am 38 year old, no body fat and always had a slim face. I had 2 vials of Sculptra in December and 2 more vials 2 weeks ago. My therapist asked me to come back after 6 weeks for 3rd session. I am worried about overfilling Sculptra. I don't want to look unnatural or change my face shape. If I wait 6 months and have 3rd injection then, will I ruin chances of getting optimal results? I have already noticed some benefit 3 weeks after 2nd session.

In my opinion, it would be fine to wait 6 months in between your second and third Sculptra treatments.  I wait a minimum of one month in between treatments but the interval can be longer if desired.  Waiting a longer period of time should not affect your final results.

It’s perfectly fine to wait for Sculptra, if you’re afraid to overfill. Sculptra lasts for two years, so you have plenty of time to add more filler. You may also find that two treatments were sufficient, especially since you received two vials at each session. Dear Kasia 38,I think the key to sculptra is less is more. It has just been relaunched in the U.K. this week.I think it is best to wait 6-8 weeks between sessions. Some people are not stimulated enough with 2 sessions whereas others respond very well. If you have a good ethical injector they will agree to watch and wait to see if you’ve had enough. Sculptra is a journey not a sprint.

If you're worried about over-correction with Sculptra then it is perfectly acceptable to wait 3-4 additional months from your last treatment.  Whether to add additional vials depends on how much volume loss correction is needed and how well your body responds to the tissue stimulator in Sculptra.  Results from Sculptra last approximately 2-3 years, so you won't have a diminished result if you wait to receive treatment.  Hope this helps!
